A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the regulation of solicitations of private security
companies by political subdivisions.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 1702.134, Occupations Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
(a-1) Subsection (a) does not apply to a requirement imposed
by a municipality, county, or other political subdivision relating
to the time and manner of solicitations made within the
municipality, county, or political subdivision by a license holder
or employee of a license holder.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
