9+ A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
410 AN ACT
511 relating to the territory of the Sutton County Underground Water
612 Conservation District.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Section 8886.051, Special District Local Laws
915 Code, is amended to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 8886.051. DISTRICT TERRITORY. The boundaries of the
1117 district are coextensive with the boundaries of [is composed of the
1218 territory in] Sutton County, [other than the territory in Sections
1319 60, 67, and 90, Block No. A, HE&WTRyCoSurvey, Sutton County,]
1420 unless the district's territory has been modified under:
1521 (1) Section 8886.052 or 8886.053 of this chapter or
1622 their predecessor statutes, former Section 11 or 14, Chapter 377,
1723 Acts of the 69th Legislature, Regular Session, 1985; or
1824 (2) other law.
1925 SECTION 2. (a) The legal notice of the intention to
2026 introduce this Act, setting forth the general substance of this
2127 Act, has been published as provided by law, and the notice and a
2228 copy of this Act have been furnished to all persons, agencies,
2329 officials, or entities to which they are required to be furnished
2430 under Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, and Chapter 313,
2531 Government Code.
2632 (b) The governor, one of the required recipients, has
2733 submitted the notice and Act to the Texas Commission on
2834 Environmental Quality.
2935 (c) The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has filed
3036 its recommendations relating to this Act with the governor, the
3137 lieutenant governor, and the speaker of the house of
3238 representatives within the required time.
3339 (d) All requirements of the constitution and laws of this
3440 state and the rules and procedures of the legislature with respect
3541 to the notice, introduction, and passage of this Act are fulfilled
3642 and accomplished.
3743 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
