 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Cameron Worth of Lindsay High School earned first
 place in the number sense event at the 2018 University
 Interscholastic League 2A Academic State Meet, held in Austin on
 May 4 and 5; and
 WHEREAS, Securing the individual number sense championship
 for the second consecutive year, Mr. Worth outscored his opponents
 on an 80-question test that required participants to quickly find
 solutions to a variety of mathematical problems without the benefit
 of calculating tools; in addition, he finished second in the meet's
 calculator contest and ranked sixth in math and eighth in science;
 and
 WHEREAS, With his fine showing in the state's premier high
 school academic competition, this bright young Texan has ably
 represented his school and community, and the dedication he has
 demonstrated is sure to serve him well in the years ahead; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Cameron Worth on his success at the
 2018 UIL 2A Academic State Meet and extend to him sincere best
 wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Worth as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
