| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Chandler Skolnick of Austin has ably served his |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Skolnick has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |

| 11 | 12 | | service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; his specific |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | responsibilities have included compiling documents for bills |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | referred to the committee, performing administrative work for |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | committee meetings, and connecting with educational advocates to |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | stay informed on key issues; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The son of Rob and Michele Skolnick, Mr. Skolnick |

| 18 | 19 | | majored in political science at Stonehill College, where he was |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | inducted into Theta Alpha Kappa, the National Honor Society in |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Religious Studies and Theology; he graduated cum laude in 2018, and |

| 21 | 22 | | he hopes to one day work at the White House; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | duties as a legislative committee clerk with skill and dedication, |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; |

| 25 | 26 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Chandler Skolnick for his service as |
