H.R. No. 1259 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Chandler Skolnick of Austin has ably served his fellow Texans as committee clerk for the House Public Education Committee during the 86th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Skolnick has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; his specific responsibilities have included compiling documents for bills referred to the committee, performing administrative work for committee meetings, and connecting with educational advocates to stay informed on key issues; and WHEREAS, The son of Rob and Michele Skolnick, Mr. Skolnick majored in political science at Stonehill College, where he was inducted into Theta Alpha Kappa, the National Honor Society in Religious Studies and Theology; he graduated cum laude in 2018, and he hopes to one day work at the White House; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his duties as a legislative committee clerk with skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas Legislature hereby commend Chandler Skolnick for his service as committee clerk for the House Public Education Committee and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Skolnick as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
