H.R. No. 1348
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Harold White received well-deserved recognition
when he was presented with an Excellence in Elementary Teaching
Award at the Plano Independent School District 2018 Teacher of the
Year Gala; and
WHEREAS, Mr. White is a physical education teacher at Boggess
Elementary School, where he has demonstrated an impressive ability
to engage students through the use of chants, cheers, and music; in
addition to promoting healthy exercise and eating habits, he has
helped his students develop good sportsmanship and teamwork; he has
also served as a mentor to new teachers, and he has generously
shared his time, talents, and abundant energy as the host of a
variety of school events, as well as the campus's PTA staff
representative and Safety Patrol organizer; and
WHEREAS, Harold White exemplifies the passion,
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all
in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Harold White on his receipt of a
2018 Plano ISD Excellence in Elementary Teaching Award and extend
to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his important
work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. White as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
