R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, James and Margaret Ragan of Sulphur Springs
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 10, 2019, and
they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they
have shared; and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1959, Mr. and Mrs. Ragan
exchanged the vows of matrimony at the home of Brother Avery
Hammonds of the Divide community, and over the course of their
marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ragan count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their daughters, Sherry and Shelly, their
sons-in-law, Patrick and Jay, and their four grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, For six decades, James and Margaret Ragan have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Margaret Ragan on their
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness.
