| 11 | 12 | | accuracy in recording their own genealogical origins; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The group is composed of more than 1,600 members who |

| 13 | 14 | | were born in or have genealogical connections to the state of Texas; |

| 14 | 15 | | it is aligned with the International Society of Genetic Genealogy |

| 15 | 16 | | and its mission to advocate for and educate about the use of |

| 16 | 17 | | genetics as a tool for genealogical research, while also helping to |

| 17 | 18 | | build a supportive network for genetic genealogists; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, In its work to enhance the public's understanding of |

| 19 | 20 | | the use of DNA for genealogical purposes, the group conducts |

| 20 | 21 | | educational presentations for individuals, civic organizations, |

| 21 | 22 | | and genealogical societies; it is also a valuable resource for |

| 22 | 23 | | Texans looking to identifying their genetic origins, preserve their |

| 23 | 24 | | family history, and connect with newly discovered relatives; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Texas DNA and Adoptee Search Support serves as a |
