57 relating to requiring a school district to post on the district's
68 Internet website the contact information of the school
79 administrator primarily responsible for student discipline at a
810 district campus.
911 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1012 SECTION 1. Chapter 26, Education Code, is amended by adding
1113 Section 26.015 to read as follows:
1214 Sec. 26.015. POSTING OF INFORMATION REGARDING
1315 ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBLE FOR STUDENT DISCIPLINE. A school
1416 district shall post on the district's Internet website, for each
1517 district campus, the e-mail address and dedicated telephone number
1618 of a person clearly identified as:
1719 (1) the campus behavior coordinator designated under
1820 Section 37.0012; or
1921 (2) if the district has been designated as a district
2022 of innovation under Chapter 12A and is exempt from the requirement
2123 to designate a campus behavior coordinator under Section 37.0012
2224 under the district's local innovation plan, a campus administrator
2325 designated as being responsible for student discipline.
2426 SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2019-2020
2527 school year.
2628 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2729 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2830 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2931 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3032 Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
