S.B. No. 1306 AN ACT relating to requiring a school district to post on the district's Internet website the contact information of the school administrator primarily responsible for student discipline at a district campus. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Chapter 26, Education Code, is amended by adding Section 26.015 to read as follows: Sec. 26.015. POSTING OF INFORMATION REGARDING ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBLE FOR STUDENT DISCIPLINE. A school district shall post on the district's Internet website, for each district campus, the e-mail address and dedicated telephone number of a person clearly identified as: (1) the campus behavior coordinator designated under Section 37.0012; or (2) if the district has been designated as a district of innovation under Chapter 12A and is exempt from the requirement to designate a campus behavior coordinator under Section 37.0012 under the district's local innovation plan, a campus administrator designated as being responsible for student discipline. SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2019-2020 school year. SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.
