A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the clerk and other personnel of the municipal court of
record of the City of Lubbock.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 30.00044(l), Government Code, is amended
to read as follows:
(l) Sections [Section] 30.00007(b)(5) and 30.00009(c) and
(d) do [does] not apply to this subchapter.
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to a
clerk and other court personnel of the municipal court of record of
the City of Lubbock employed on or after the effective date of this
Act, regardless of whether the clerk or other personnel began
employment before, on, or after the effective date of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
