| 13 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 14 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 1702.232(c), Occupations Code, is |
|---|
| 15 | 10 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 16 | 11 | | (c) The pocket card must: |
|---|
| 17 | 12 | | (1) state the name of the registrant; |
|---|
| 18 | 13 | | (2) contain a [color] photograph, affixed to the |
|---|
| 19 | 14 | | pocket card by the board at the time the card is issued, and the |
|---|
| 20 | 15 | | signature of the registrant; |
|---|
| 21 | 16 | | (3) state the date the card was issued and the card's |
|---|
| 22 | 17 | | expiration date; and |
|---|
| 23 | 18 | | (4) state each endorsement held by the registrant and |
|---|
| 24 | 19 | | the date the endorsement expires. |

| 25 | 20 | | SECTION 2. Section 411.179(a), Government Code, is amended |
|---|
| 26 | 21 | | to read as follows: |
|---|
| 27 | 22 | | (a) The department by rule shall adopt the form of the |
|---|
| 28 | 23 | | license. A license must include: |
|---|
| 29 | 24 | | (1) a number assigned to the license holder by the |
|---|
| 30 | 25 | | department; |
|---|
| 31 | 26 | | (2) a statement of the period for which the license is |
|---|
| 32 | 27 | | effective; |
|---|
| 33 | 28 | | (3) a [color] photograph of the license holder; |
|---|
| 34 | 29 | | (4) the license holder's full name, date of birth, hair |
|---|
| 35 | 30 | | and eye color, height, weight, and signature; |
|---|
| 36 | 31 | | (5) the license holder's residence address or, as |
|---|
| 37 | 32 | | provided by Subsection (d), the street address of the courthouse in |
|---|
| 38 | 33 | | which the license holder or license holder's spouse serves as a |
|---|
| 39 | 34 | | federal judge or the license holder serves as a state judge; |
|---|
| 40 | 35 | | (6) the number of a driver's license or an |
|---|
| 41 | 36 | | identification certificate issued to the license holder by the |
|---|
| 42 | 37 | | department; and |
|---|
| 43 | 38 | | (7) the designation "VETERAN" if required under |
|---|
| 44 | 39 | | Subsection (e). |
|---|
| 45 | 40 | | SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to |
|---|
| 46 | 41 | | a pocket card or license issued or renewed on or after the effective |
|---|
| 47 | 42 | | date of this Act. A pocket card or license issued or renewed before |
|---|
| 48 | 43 | | the effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect when |
|---|
| 49 | 44 | | the pocket card or license was issued, and the former law is |
|---|
| 50 | 45 | | continued in effect for that purpose. |
|---|
| 51 | 46 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
