A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the length of the term of an existing comprehensive
development agreement for State Highway 130.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 223.208, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (h-1) to read as follows:
(h-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (h), a comprehensive
development agreement entered into on or before March 22, 2007 for
State Highway 130 from U.S. Highway 183 to Interstate Highway 10
(Segments 5 and 6) may be amended to extend the term of the
comprehensive development agreement up to an additional 20 years if
the amendment outlines the benefit the state will derive from
extending the term of the comprehensive development agreement.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
