49 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
510 AN ACT
611 relating to the expiration of a school marshal license issued or
712 renewed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
813 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
914 SECTION 1. Section 1701.260(g), Occupations Code, is
1015 amended to read as follows:
1116 (g) A person's license under this section expires on August
1217 31 following [the first birthday of the person occurring after] the
1318 second anniversary of the date the commission licenses the person.
1419 A renewed school marshal license expires on August 31 [the person's
1520 birth date], two years after the expiration of the previous
1621 license.
1722 SECTION 2. A license issued or renewed before the effective
1823 date of this Act expires on August 31 following the second
1924 anniversary of the date the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement
2025 issued or renewed the previous license.
2126 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
