                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 363
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Victoria Hinojos for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award,
 which is being presented to her on April 14, 2019; and
 WHEREAS, Few Girl Scouts attain this distinguished award;
 the Gold Award is the highest level of achievement in the Girl
 Scout program; and
 WHEREAS, The Girl Scout program helps girls develop
 leadership skills and organizational abilities and encourages a
 commitment to community service; girls working toward the Girl
 Scout Gold Award gain valuable experience that will contribute to
 their future success; and
 WHEREAS, To earn the Gold Award, Victoria met a series of
 requirements that demonstrated her leadership abilities, and she
 designed and conducted a service project that will have a
 positive and lasting effect on her community; and
 WHEREAS, She organized and oversaw the construction of a
 laundry facility for Friends of Women, Incorporated, a nonprofit
 organization that serves the victims of domestic violence; and
 WHEREAS, By earning the Gold Award, Victoria has brought
 honor to herself, her family, her council, and her community, and
 she deserves recognition for her diligence and her outstanding
 achievement; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
 Legislature, hereby commend Victoria Hinojos on receiving the
 Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her congratulations on her
 exemplary accomplishment; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
