                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 368
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Hannah J. Edelstein, who has earned the Girl Scout Gold
 Award; she is being presented the coveted award on April 14,
 2019; and
 WHEREAS, Few receive this distinguished award, which is
 the highest level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and
 WHEREAS, Through the process of earning the Gold Award,
 girls develop a lifelong commitment to community service and gain
 skills that will contribute to their future success; and
 WHEREAS, Hannah has displayed leadership by designing and
 conducting a service project that will have a positive and
 lasting effect on her community; and
 WHEREAS, Hannah organized efforts to provide commercial
 laundry equipment to Friendship of Women, Incorporated, a
 nonprofit organization that serves the victims of domestic
 violence; and
 WHEREAS, In receiving the Gold Award, Hannah has brought
 great honor to herself, her family, her council, her community,
 and her state, and she deserves recognition for her exceptional
 accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
 Legislature, hereby commend Hannah J. Edelstein on receiving the
 Girl Scout Gold Award and congratulate her on her outstanding
 achievement; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
