| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dora I. Ramos, who is retiring from the Edinburg |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | Consolidated Independent School District after a distinguished |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | 33-year career as an educator; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dora Ramos began her teaching career in 1985 as a |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | kindergarten teacher at Sorenson Elementary School in the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District; a few years |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | later, she joined the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | District and taught at San Carlos Elementary School and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Canterbury Elementary School before joining the faculty at |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Flores-Zapata Elementary School, where she is concluding her |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | notable career; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, She has been active in a wide array of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | extracurricular student activities, including Science Camp and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | University Interscholastic League competitions; in recognition |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of her exceptional skills and her rapport with her students, she |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | was named the 2018-2019 Flores-Zapata Elementary Teacher of the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Year; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through the years, her students have benefited |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | greatly from her expert teaching methods, her sincere concern |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | for the individual student, and her wise counsel and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | encouragement; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary educator, she is respected and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | admired by her colleagues and students alike, and her presence at |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Flores-Zapata Elementary School will be greatly missed; now, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby commend Dora I. Ramos on her exceptional |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | service to the students of the Rio Grande Valley as an educator |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | and extend to her best wishes for continued success in all her |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
