| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Armando Vendrell-Vélez on the auspicious occasion of |

| 4 | 4 | | his graduation from Texas A&M University on May 9, 2019; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Armando is receiving a bachelor of arts in |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | international studies and a bachelor of arts in Spanish; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, In pursuing the goals he has set for himself, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Armando has demonstrated exceptional abilities, diligence, and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | determination; he has managed an impressive course load while |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | serving in leadership capacities for several university |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | organizations, and he volunteered more than 100 hours to a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Peruvian organization while studying abroad in Lima, Peru; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, During his final semester of undergraduate |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | studies, Armando has contributed to the 86th Texas Legislative |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Session by serving as a staff assistant to Senator Pete Flores, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and he has been a true asset to the staff and has provided |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | oversight for the Health and Human Services Committee; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Armando's family and friends are all very proud of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | him for his hard work and his many achievements; now, therefore, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Armando Vendrell-Vélez on his |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | graduation from Texas A&M University and extend to him best |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | wishes for the future; and, be it further |
