                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 646
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Armando Vendrell-Vélez on the auspicious occasion of
 his graduation from Texas A&M University on May 9, 2019; and
 WHEREAS, Armando is receiving a bachelor of arts in
 international studies and a bachelor of arts in Spanish; and
 WHEREAS, In pursuing the goals he has set for himself,
 Armando has demonstrated exceptional abilities, diligence, and
 determination; he has managed an impressive course load while
 serving in leadership capacities for several university
 organizations, and he volunteered more than 100 hours to a
 Peruvian organization while studying abroad in Lima, Peru; and
 WHEREAS, During his final semester of undergraduate
 studies, Armando has contributed to the 86th Texas Legislative
 Session by serving as a staff assistant to Senator Pete Flores,
 and he has been a true asset to the staff and has provided
 oversight for the Health and Human Services Committee; and
 WHEREAS, Armando's family and friends are all very proud of
 him for his hard work and his many achievements; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
 Legislature, hereby congratulate Armando Vendrell-Vélez on his
 graduation from Texas A&M University and extend to him best
 wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 him as a memento of this special occasion.
