SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 778
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Stuart R. Snow Jr. for his long and distinguished
career as a certified public accountant and a registered Texas
school business administrator; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Snow began his career in the Audit Division of
the noted accounting firm Deloitte and Touche, where he worked
for 11 years; and
WHEREAS, He left the private sector to go into public
service in the field of public school business and finance; he
served with distinction as the chief financial officer for 11
years with the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District and
for 18 years with the Spring Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, Through the years, he has worked closely with
members of the Texas Legislature to craft finance legislation
that has benefited school districts across the state; he has held
leadership positions in a wide range of community businesses and
organizations, including the Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union, the
Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce, the Houston Livestock Show and
Rodeo, and Cypress Bible Church; and
WHEREAS, Stuart Snow has played a vital role in the
successful operation of the school districts in which he has served
and of school districts across the state, and it is truly fitting
that he receive special recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
Legislature, hereby commend Stuart R. Snow Jr. on his outstanding
service in the field of public school finance and extend to him
best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
