11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 798
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize Big Bend Regional Medical Center, which recently
44 received a Trauma Designation Award from the Texas Department of
55 State Health Services; and
66 WHEREAS, Trauma designation is a formal recognition of a
77 hospital's trauma care capabilities and its demonstrated commitment
88 to exceeding minimum hospital licensure requirements; and
99 WHEREAS, Big Bend Regional Medical Center earned the Level
1010 IV Designation--Basic Trauma Facility; this designation
1111 recognizes the facility for its dedication to improving,
1212 expediting, and standardizing the care of trauma patients; and
1313 WHEREAS, Trauma care is a vital component of the medical
1414 system, and designation as a trauma facility reflects a
1515 commitment by the hospital's administration and management to
1616 upholding exceptional standards of care; now, therefore, be it
1717 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
1818 Legislature, hereby commend all associated with Big Bend
1919 Regional Medical Center on their professionalism and commitment
2020 to excellence and extend congratulations to them on receiving the
2121 Level IV Basic Trauma Facility Designation; and, be it further
2222 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2323 the center as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
