1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 798
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize Big Bend Regional Medical Center, which recently
4	4	received a Trauma Designation Award from the Texas Department of
5	5	State Health Services; and
6	6	WHEREAS, Trauma designation is a formal recognition of a
7	7	hospital's trauma care capabilities and its demonstrated commitment
8	8	to exceeding minimum hospital licensure requirements; and
9	9	WHEREAS, Big Bend Regional Medical Center earned the Level
10	10	IV Designation--Basic Trauma Facility; this designation
11	11	recognizes the facility for its dedication to improving,
12	12	expediting, and standardizing the care of trauma patients; and
13	13	WHEREAS, Trauma care is a vital component of the medical
14	14	system, and designation as a trauma facility reflects a
15	15	commitment by the hospital's administration and management to
16	16	upholding exceptional standards of care; now, therefore, be it
17	17	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
18	18	Legislature, hereby commend all associated with Big Bend
19	19	Regional Medical Center on their professionalism and commitment
20	20	to excellence and extend congratulations to them on receiving the
21	21	Level IV Basic Trauma Facility Designation; and, be it further
22	22	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
23	23	the center as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
