                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 798
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Big Bend Regional Medical Center, which recently
 received a Trauma Designation Award from the Texas Department of
 State Health Services; and
 WHEREAS, Trauma designation is a formal recognition of a
 hospital's trauma care capabilities and its demonstrated commitment
 to exceeding minimum hospital licensure requirements; and
 WHEREAS, Big Bend Regional Medical Center earned the Level
 IV Designation--Basic Trauma Facility; this designation
 recognizes the facility for its dedication to improving,
 expediting, and standardizing the care of trauma patients; and
 WHEREAS, Trauma care is a vital component of the medical
 system, and designation as a trauma facility reflects a
 commitment by the hospital's administration and management to
 upholding exceptional standards of care; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
 Legislature, hereby commend all associated with Big Bend
 Regional Medical Center on their professionalism and commitment
 to excellence and extend congratulations to them on receiving the
 Level IV Basic Trauma Facility Designation; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 the center as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
