| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter Z, Chapter 33, Education Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 33.910 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 33.910. EMPLOYMENT OF HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS. A | |
| 13 | 13 | school district or open-enrollment charter school shall assign at | |
| 14 | 14 | least one registered nurse or other health care professional | |
| 15 | 15 | licensed under Title 3, Occupations Code, to be present at each | |
| 16 | 16 | campus of the district or school for not less than half of each | |
| 17 | 17 | school day. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2021-2022 | |
| 19 | 19 | school year. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
