The bill would amend Transportation Code, Section 551.404(c), and Section 551A.053(c), relating to the authority of certain counties to authorize the operation of a golf cart or off-highway vehicle on certain roads when the golf cart or off-highway vehicle displays the applicable license plate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV).The bill would increase the number of counties authorized to allow the operation of a golf cart or off-highway vehicle on certain roads. Based on the information and analysis provided by TxDMV, it is assumed implementation of the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State.
