| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 12.1058, Education Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (d) An open-enrollment charter school and an officer or | |
| 13 | 13 | employee of an open-enrollment charter school are subject to | |
| 14 | 14 | Section 660.093, Government Code, as though the school were a state | |
| 15 | 15 | agency and the officer or employee were a state employee if using | |
| 16 | 16 | state funds to pay or reimburse for the travel of the officer or | |
| 17 | 17 | employee. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
