| 7 | 15 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Section 711.008, Health and Safety Code, is |

| 9 | 17 | | amended by adding Subsection (l) to read as follows: |

| 10 | 18 | | (l) Subsection (a) does not apply to a cemetery established |
|---|
| 11 | 19 | | and operating before September 1, 2023, in a municipality: |
|---|
| 12 | 20 | | (1) with a population of not less than 75,000 and not |
|---|
| 13 | 21 | | more than 95,000; and |
|---|
| 14 | 22 | | (2) in which a state veterans cemetery is located. |

| 15 | 23 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
