The bill would amend Transportation Code, Chapter 502, to authorize a person who is otherwise eligible to renew a vehicle registration under that chapter to renew the registration through an online registration system maintained by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV).  Based on the information provided by TxDMV, it is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
