9+ A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
410 AN ACT
511 relating to the authority of a development corporation created by
612 the Gulf Coast Authority to finance certain projects.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Section 3.01, Chapter 409, Acts of the 61st
915 Legislature, Regular Session, 1969, is amended by adding Subsection
1016 (g) to read as follows:
1117 (g) A development corporation created by the authority
1218 under Chapter 501, Local Government Code, may finance:
1319 (1) projects described by Subchapter C, Chapter 501,
1420 Local Government Code, located inside or outside this state; and
1521 (2) qualified improvements as defined by Section
1622 399.002, Local Government Code, located inside or outside this
1723 state in the same manner and to the same extent as a municipality or
1824 county may do so under Chapter 399 of that code.
1925 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2026 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2127 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2228 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2329 Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
