| 9 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 301.261, Occupations Code, is amended by | |
| 10 | 11 | adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 12 | (d-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (d) and as necessary to | |
| 12 | 13 | mitigate a nursing workforce shortage caused by a state of | |
| 13 | 14 | disaster, the board shall waive a requirement that a person pay a | |
