| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 382.203(a), Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) The inspection and maintenance program applies to any | |
| 13 | 13 | gasoline-powered vehicle that is: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) required to be registered in and is primarily | |
| 15 | 15 | operated in an affected county; and | |
| 16 | 16 | (2) at least two [and less than 25] years old and a | |
| 17 | 17 | model year 1997 or later; or | |
| 18 | 18 | (3) subject to test-on-resale requirements under | |
| 19 | 19 | Section 548.3011, Transportation Code. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2022. |
