| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 102, Alcoholic Beverage | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 102.23 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 102.23. INTERNET PURCHASES AND ORDERS AUTHORIZED. (a) | |
| 13 | 13 | Subject to the limitations of this subchapter, Subchapter B, and | |
| 14 | 14 | other applicable provisions of this code, any purchase or order | |
| 15 | 15 | that is authorized by this code to be made by a distributor from a | |
| 16 | 16 | manufacturer, by a retailer from a distributor, or by an ultimate | |
| 17 | 17 | consumer from a retailer may be made through an Internet website. | |
| 18 | 18 | (b) The commission by rule shall establish measures to | |
| 19 | 19 | ensure that Internet purchases authorized under this section comply | |
| 20 | 20 | with any requirements regarding age and other applicable provisions | |
| 21 | 21 | of this code. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
