The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to require the Railroad Commission to require underground hydrocarbon storage facilities to maintain onsite power generation necessary to pump gas from the facility for a minimum of 12 hours. Based on information provided by the Railroad Commission, it is assumed that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.
