A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to requirements for onsite power generation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Sections 91.203(a), Natural Resources Code, is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 91.203. AUTHORITY; RULES. (a) The commission shall:
(1) supervise or monitor the construction, operation,
maintenance, and closure of storage facilities; and,
(2) require storage facilities to maintain onsite
generation necessary to pump gas from the facility for a minimum of
12 hours.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
