| 8 | 8 | SECTION 1. Sections 91.203(a), Natural Resources Code, is | |
| 9 | 9 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 10 | 10 | Sec. 91.203. AUTHORITY; RULES. (a) The commission shall: | |
| 11 | 11 | (1) supervise or monitor the construction, operation, | |
| 12 | 12 | maintenance, and closure of storage facilities; and, | |
| 13 | 13 | (2) require storage facilities to maintain onsite | |
| 14 | 14 | generation necessary to pump gas from the facility for a minimum of | |
| 15 | 15 | 12 hours. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
