| 9 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter J, Chapter 201, Transportation Code, |

| 11 | 13 | | is amended by adding Section 201.813 to read as follows: |

| 12 | 14 | | Sec. 201.813. DATA PURCHASED BY DEPARTMENT. (a) |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | Notwithstanding any other law or agreement to the contrary, on |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | request, the department shall provide a written or electronic copy |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | of any data purchased by the department, including data, |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | disaggregated by county, that was purchased for the purpose of |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | conducting the study on the Ports-to-Plains Corridor required by |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | Chapter 756 (H.B. 1079), Acts of the 86th Legislature, Regular |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | Session, 2019. |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | (b) The department shall provide data described by |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | Subsection (a) to a requestor within a reasonable time but not later |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | than the 60th day after the date the department receives the |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | request. |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
