410 AN ACT
511 relating to the designation of a portion of State Highway 242 in
612 Montgomery County as the Sergeant Stacey Baumgartner Memorial
713 Highway.
814 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
915 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
1016 is amended by adding Section 225.190 to read as follows:
1117 Sec. 225.190. SERGEANT STACEY BAUMGARTNER MEMORIAL
1218 HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of State Highway 242 in Montgomery County
1319 between its intersection with Interstate Highway 69 and its
1420 intersection with Farm-to-Market Road 1485 is designated as the
1521 Sergeant Stacey Baumgartner Memorial Highway. The designation is
1622 in addition to any other designation.
1723 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1824 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1925 designation as the Sergeant Stacey Baumgartner Memorial Highway and
2026 any other appropriate information; and
2127 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
2228 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2329 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
