106 AN ACT
117 relating to designating September 21 as Alzheimer's Awareness Day.
128 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
139 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
1410 amended by adding Section 662.083 to read as follows:
1511 Sec. 662.083. ALZHEIMER'S AWARENESS DAY. (a) September 21
1612 is Alzheimer's Awareness Day to increase awareness of individuals
1713 who are suffering from dementia and to express appreciation to the
1814 caregivers of Alzheimer's patients for the services and care
1915 provided to the patients.
2016 (b) Alzheimer's Awareness Day shall be regularly observed
2117 by appropriate programs and activities.
2218 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
