| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 341, Health and Safety | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 341.0391 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 341.0391. DIRECT POTABLE REUSE GUIDANCE. (a) In this | |
| 13 | 13 | section, "direct potable reuse" means the introduction of treated | |
| 14 | 14 | reclaimed water either directly into a potable water system or into | |
| 15 | 15 | the raw water supply entering a drinking water treatment plant. | |
| 16 | 16 | (b) The commission shall develop and make available to the | |
| 17 | 17 | public a regulatory guidance manual to explain commission rules | |
| 18 | 18 | that apply to direct potable reuse. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
