118 relating to local regulation to enforce child custody orders;
129 authorizing a civil penalty.
1310 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1411 SECTION 1. Chapter 157, Family Code, is amended by adding
1512 Subchapter J to read as follows:
1613 SUBCHAPTER J. LOCAL REGULATION AND ENFORCEMENT
1714 Sec. 157.451. CIVIL PENALTY FOR INTERFERENCE WITH CHILD
1815 CUSTODY ORDER. A municipality or county in this state may adopt an
1916 ordinance or order that imposes a civil penalty of not more than
2017 $500 for engaging in conduct described by Section 25.03, Penal
2118 Code.
2219 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
