410 AN ACT
511 relating to the designation of a portion of State Highway Loop 121
612 in Bell County as the Deputy Sheriff John Rhoden Memorial Highway.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
915 is amended by adding Section 225.190 to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 225.190. DEPUTY SHERIFF JOHN RHODEN MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.
1117 (a) The portion of State Highway Loop 121 in Bell County between
1218 its intersection with Interstate Highway 35 and its intersection
1319 with Interstate Highway 14 is designated as the Deputy Sheriff John
1420 Rhoden Memorial Highway. The designation is in addition to any
1521 other designation.
1622 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1723 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1824 designation as the Deputy Sheriff John Rhoden Memorial Highway and
1925 any other appropriate information; and
2026 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
2127 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2228 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
