45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Paolo Martinez has ably served his fellow Texans as
67 an aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu during the
78 87th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Martinez has provided
910 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1011 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1112 service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
1213 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1314 WHEREAS, An alumnus of Kinder High School for the Performing
1415 and Visual Arts in Houston, Mr. Martinez attended The University of
1516 Texas at San Antonio before transferring to UT Austin, where he is
1617 currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in government; active in his
1718 community, he volunteered with a local political campaign,
1819 cofounded Houston Youth Activists, and participated in AmeriCorps;
1920 moreover, he has served as a youth program lead and volunteer
2021 manager for the Houston branch of the American Red Cross; and
2122 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his
2223 duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is
2324 indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
2425 therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby commend Paolo Martinez for his service as a
2728 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and
2829 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his
2930 endeavors; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Mr. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the
3233 Texas House of Representatives.
