 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Paolo Martinez has ably served his fellow Texans as
 an aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu during the
 87th Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Martinez has provided
 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
 service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
 WHEREAS, An alumnus of Kinder High School for the Performing
 and Visual Arts in Houston, Mr. Martinez attended The University of
 Texas at San Antonio before transferring to UT Austin, where he is
 currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in government; active in his
 community, he volunteered with a local political campaign,
 cofounded Houston Youth Activists, and participated in AmeriCorps;
 moreover, he has served as a youth program lead and volunteer
 manager for the Houston branch of the American Red Cross; and
 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his
 duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is
 indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Paolo Martinez for his service as a
 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and
 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his
 endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
