| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, National Nurses Week celebrates the vital role that |

| 9 | 10 | | registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, |

| 10 | 11 | | and other nursing personnel play in the delivery of health care in |

| 11 | 12 | | our communities; with their services in demand 24 hours a day, 7 |

| 12 | 13 | | days a week, these individuals stand ready to ensure that every |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | patient receives the highest quality of medical care; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted |

| 15 | 16 | | the indispensable contributions made by our health care |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | professionals, including the nurses who have been on the front |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | lines tending to the most severely ill patients; through their |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | perseverance in the face of stress and adversity, they have emerged |

| 19 | 20 | | as heroes during an immensely challenging time for our nation and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | helped countless patients survive and recover from the disease; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Now more than ever, nurses are deserving of our |

| 22 | 23 | | appreciation, our respect, and our support, and National Nurses |

| 23 | 24 | | Week is an ideal time to recognize the members of this noble |

| 24 | 25 | | profession who make our community their home; now, therefore, be it |
