 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, National Nurses Week took place from May 6 to 12,
 2021, offering a welcome opportunity to pay tribute to the nursing
 professionals who serve House District 134; and
 WHEREAS, National Nurses Week celebrates the vital role that
 registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses,
 and other nursing personnel play in the delivery of health care in
 our communities; with their services in demand 24 hours a day, 7
 days a week, these individuals stand ready to ensure that every
 patient receives the highest quality of medical care; and
 WHEREAS, The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted
 the indispensable contributions made by our health care
 professionals, including the nurses who have been on the front
 lines tending to the most severely ill patients; through their
 perseverance in the face of stress and adversity, they have emerged
 as heroes during an immensely challenging time for our nation and
 helped countless patients survive and recover from the disease; and
 WHEREAS, Now more than ever, nurses are deserving of our
 appreciation, our respect, and our support, and National Nurses
 Week is an ideal time to recognize the members of this noble
 profession who make our community their home; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend the nurses who serve House District 134
 for their inspiring dedication to their work and extend to them
 sincere best wishes for the future.
