H.R. No. 1771
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Daniel A. Arizpe of El Paso was selected to
participate in the 2021 Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership
Program, and he has ably served his fellow Texans as communications
director in the office of State Representative Eddie Morales Jr.
during the 87th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Mexican American Legislative
Leadership Foundation, the Moreno/Rangel program offers
outstanding Latino and Latina students an opportunity to serve as
full-time policy interns in the offices of members of the Texas
House of Representatives; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure at the State Capitol,
Mr. Arizpe has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety
of challenging tasks, including scheduling, communicating with
constituents, and managing social media posts; in addition to
gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has
learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing
citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Arizpe previously interned in the office of U.S.
Congresswoman Veronica Escobar; a recent graduate of The University
of Texas at El Paso, he holds a bachelor's degree in political
science with a minor in biological sciences; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his
duties as communications director with skill and dedication, and he
is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Daniel A. Arizpe for his service as a
Fellow of the Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program and as
communications director in the office of State Representative Eddie
Morales Jr. and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Arizpe as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
