R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ben DeLoit of The John Cooper School in The
Woodlands has been admitted to the U.S. Military Academy at West
Point; and
WHEREAS, Known for its strict standards and adherence to
tradition, the Military Academy has developed a prestigious
reputation since its founding in 1802; to be accepted to West Point,
a candidate must complete a rigorous admissions process and be
nominated by designated officers or organizations; and
WHEREAS, A member of The John Cooper School Class of 2021,
Mr. DeLoit plans to study systems engineering and play sprint
football while at West Point; and
WHEREAS, With his acceptance to the Military Academy at West
Point, Ben DeLoit may look forward to myriad exciting challenges
and opportunities, and he is indeed deserving of recognition for
his exemplary achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ben DeLoit on his admission to the
U.S. Military Academy at West Point and extend to him sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. DeLoit as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
