H.R. No. 1870 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of Michael Edwin Kendrick Jr. of Crockett, who passed away on September 13, 2020, at the age of 50; and WHEREAS, The son of Michael Edwin Kendrick Sr. and Joyce Dyches Kendrick, Eddie Kendrick was born on December 7, 1969, in Lufkin and grew up with a sister, Christi; and WHEREAS, In the course of his career, Mr. Kendrick was a CNC machinist and programmer for Quantex Instruments for more than 20 years; he worked in the maintenance department at Enchanted Pines, and he was admired for being able to build almost anything; and WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Kendrick enjoyed the love and support of his wife, Karen, and he took great pride in his daughters, Heather, Lauren, and Erin; with the passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to include four grandchildren, Canon, Hudson, Scarlett, and Jameson; and WHEREAS, Although Eddie Kendrick is deeply missed, he has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that they will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Michael Edwin Kendrick Jr. and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn his passing; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eddie Kendrick.
