| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Processo and Refugia Gonzalez, Silbiano |

| 9 | 10 | | Gonzalez was born on May 4, 1949, and grew up with eight siblings, |

| 10 | 11 | | George, Jesse, Esperanza, Sisto, Joe, Clemente, David, and Rogelio; |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Gonzalez |

| 13 | 14 | | proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Vietnam War; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Gonzalez took great pride in his children, Lisa, |

| 16 | 17 | | Melanie, and Juan, and with the passing years, he had the pleasure |

| 17 | 18 | | of seeing his family grow to include 13 grandchildren, Abigail, |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Kiera, Nyana, JaNiya, Isaiah, Jacob, Malachi, Ohnysty, Auria, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Unique, Chanel, Romancio, and Majesty, as well as numerous |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his family and his country, |

| 22 | 23 | | Silbiano Gonzalez lived a rich and purposeful life, and he earned |

| 23 | 24 | | the lasting respect and admiration of all who were privileged to |

| 24 | 25 | | know him; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Silbiano Morin |

| 27 | 28 | | Gonzalez and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn his |
