5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Grady Elliott retired from the board of United |

6 | 7 | | Heritage Credit Union in 2020, concluding a distinguished tenure |

7 | 8 | | that spanned nearly two decades; and |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Appointed to the board in 2001, Mr. Elliott |

9 | 10 | | graduated from the Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute two |
---|
10 | 11 | | years later; he was designated as a Certified Credit Union |
---|
11 | 12 | | Director; and |
---|
12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Elliott previously served from 1987 to 1992 as a |

13 | 14 | | member of the credit union's supervisory committee, and he was its |
---|
14 | 15 | | chair for two years; he first joined the Austin-based credit union |
---|
15 | 16 | | in 1984; and |
---|
16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Air Force, |
---|
17 | 18 | | Mr. Elliott brought to United Heritage extensive management |
---|
18 | 19 | | experience; he attained the rank of chief master sergeant during |
---|
19 | 20 | | his 30 years in the military and served as executive officer to the |
---|
20 | 21 | | base commander and as command senior enlisted advisor to the wing |
---|
21 | 22 | | commander; following his retirement in 1984, he was employed at |
---|
22 | 23 | | Bergstrom Air Force Base as manager of the Personal Financial |
---|
23 | 24 | | Management Program; he holds a bachelor's degree in |
---|
24 | 25 | | education/sociology from Alabama State University; and |
---|
25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Grady Elliott greatly benefited United Heritage |
---|
26 | 27 | | Credit Union through his expertise and dedication to its mission, |
---|
27 | 28 | | and he may indeed reflect with pride on his long record of exemplary |
---|
28 | 29 | | service; now, therefore, be it |

29 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

30 | 31 | | Legislature hereby honor Grady Elliott for his service on the board |

31 | 32 | | of United Heritage Credit Union and extend to him sincere best |
