| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |

| 6 | 7 | | meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends |

| 7 | 8 | | of David Aubrey Barr of Rowlett, who passed away on April 7, 2020, |

| 8 | 9 | | at the age of 68; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The son of Robert and Lorayne Barr, David Barr was |

| 10 | 11 | | born on March 22, 1952, in Austin and grew up with the companionship |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | of a sister, Janis; he graduated from David Crockett High School in |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Austin and continued his education at Southwest Texas State |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | University, receiving a bachelor's degree in 1974; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In the course of a successful career, Mr. Barr |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | worked in commercial real estate financing at First Interstate |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Bank, Wells Fargo, First American Bank, Citibank, and American |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Momentum Bank, and he later conducted bank examinations with the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, On June 9, 1979, Mr. Barr married the former Diane |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Holechek, and the couple went on to share a rewarding union that |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | spanned four decades; Mr. Barr took great pride in his two |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | children, Matthew and Amanda, and he was delighted to become "Bop" |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | to his four grandchildren, Cooper, Kinsey, Nathan, and Olivia; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Barr was a valued congregant of Lakepointe |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | Church in Rockwall; in his leisure time, he liked trying new |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | restaurants, and he also enjoyed sports, reading, and history; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known David Barr will |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | remember the way he touched their lives with his wit, his warmth, |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | and his kindness, and he will forever hold a treasured place in |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of David Aubrey Barr and |

| 33 | 34 | | extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it |
